UW Trustees Approve Personnel Appointments

University of Wyoming trustees approved the following personnel appointments during their business meeting Friday, May 7:

Administrative Appointments:

Research Office

J. David Mohrbacher as director of the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute. Mohrbacher received a B.S. (1976) and an M.S. (1981) in chemical engineering from the University of Kansas.

Faculty Appointments:

College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

Kristina M. Hufford as assistant professor in the Department of Renewable Resources. Hufford received a B.A. (1993) in environmental sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. (2001) in botany from the University of Georgia, Athens.

College of Education

Bret G. Range as assistant professor in the Department of Professional Studies. Range received a B.S. (1996) and an M.S. (1999) in education from Missouri State University and a Ph.D. (2009) in educational leadership from the University of Arkansas.

Susan D. Scherz as assistant professor in the Department of Professional Studies. Scherz received a B.A. (1973) in English from Capital University, an M.A. (1994) in education administration and an Ed.D. (2004) in education leadership from Northern Arizona University.

College of Health Sciences

Wook-Jin Kim as instructor for the Division of Social Work. Kim received a B.S. (2002) in sociology from Korea University, an M.S. (2004) and a Ph.D. (expected in 2010) in social service administration from the University of Chicago.

Academic Professionals:

College of Health Sciences

Elizabeth S. Dole-Izzo as assistant lecturer for the Division of Social Work. Dole-Izzo received a B.S. (1996) in human development and family studies and an M.S. (2002) in social work from Colorado State University.

Change in Appointment

Steven F. Barrett, professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, was appointed to a five-year term as associate dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
