
A longtime University of Wyoming Division of Student Affairs employee has been promoted to UW's director of admissions.
Shelley Dodd, who has served the past year as interim admissions director, received the promotion, effective June 1, from Vice President for Student Affairs Sara Axelson. The appointment is subject to approval from the UW Board of Trustees.
Dodd has 16 years of experience in enrollment management and division leadership, with responsibilities as an associate registrar, associate director of admissions and as assistant to the vice president for student affairs in the areas of budget, human resources and special events.
During her time as interim director of admissions, Dodd successfully led resident and nonresident undergraduate recruiting and admission, international and minority student recruitment, and served as tuition classification officer. In addition, she co-led the selection and implementation of customer relations management software beginning with support for graduate admission.
Dodd has a master's degree in public administration and a bachelor's degree in business administration from UW.
