University of Wyoming Summer Programs is offering both UW students and non-students an opportunity to experience Denver's largest music festival for a fraction of the cost.
Known as Denver's largest one-day music festival, the Westword Music Festival will take place Saturday, June 23, in downtown Denver. Headliners include Girl Talk, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Baywood and Churchill. All featured headline acts will be on the Westword main stage and are open to all ages.
Tickets for the Westword Music Festival will go on sale Monday, June 4, at the Wyoming Union information desk. Tickets cost $10 for UW students with a valid student I.D. and $15 for non-students. The ticket price includes admission into the festival plus transportation to and from Denver. The bus will leave the union parking lot at 11 a.m. Saturday and depart Denver around 11 p.m.
Most Westword venues require attendees to be at least 21 years of age. While those younger than 21 can still purchase tickets, they will be allowed access to fewer music venues.
