WyoCast On

University of Wyoming Information Technology will upgrade the university’s enterprise lecture capture system, WyoCast On-Demand, during the first week of January 2015. IT will implement a new catalog during the upgrade.

“The new catalog will more closely match the current UW division and department organization,” says Maggie Morrison, client support services director. “All of the current recordings will migrate to the new catalog.”

As a result of the new catalog structure, Morrison says all previously recorded content will most likely have a new URL.

For more than six years, many people have published links to their WyoCast recordings on Web pages, brochures, courses, syllabi and emails. Links to individual recordings on Wyocast may need to be updated. Check the new WyoCast On-Demand catalog after the first week of January to find your content, Morrison says.

New features of interest:

-- WyoCast and WyoCourses will be integrated, which means instructors will be able to link their recordings directly into their WyoCourses.

-- MyWyoCast will be released with this upgrade. All UW faculty or staff members will be able to record, edit, and publish content using desktops, laptops and tablets.
