UW Announces Holiday Closures

Most University of Wyoming business and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24-Thursday, Jan. 1, for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays as well as winter break. Normal business hours will resume Friday, Jan. 2.

Because of the closure, the December payday for UW employees will be Tuesday, Dec. 23.

Coe Library will close at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, and will be closed the weekend of Dec. 20-21. It will be open Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 22-23, from 8 a.m-5:30 p.m., and then it will not reopen until 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2.

The UW Art Museum will close at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20. Regular museum hours will resume Saturday, Jan. 31, with new exhibitions.

The Geological Museum will close at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20. Regular hours resume at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5.

Half Acre Gym will be closed the weekend of Dec. 20-21; Wednesday-Sunday, Dec. 24-28; and Wednesday-Thursday, Dec. 31-Jan. 1. It will be open Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 22-23, 6 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 29-30, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Half Acre will be open 6 a.m.-8 p.m. during weekdays starting Friday, Jan. 2. It will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, and noon-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25. Regular hours resume Monday, Jan. 26.

UW residence halls will close at noon Saturday, Dec. 20, and will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23. Spring semester classes begin Monday, Jan. 26.
