The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will receive updates on a wide variety of issues during its regular meeting Wednesday through Friday, May 13-15.
Members of the board are scheduled to then participate in UW’s spring commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday.
The three-day meeting begins with an executive session at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in Salons D and E of the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. Public testimony is scheduled for 9 a.m. to lead off Wednesday’s public sessions. All meetings are open to the public except for executive sessions.
The business meeting, in which trustees take formal action on agenda items, is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. Friday.
Among the topics about which trustees will be updated Wednesday-Friday are planning for the presidential search; campus safety; capital construction projects; planning for new residence halls; the 2017-18 biennial budget request; the Science Initiative; financial management and reporting; and the trustees’ College of Education Initiative and Endowed Chairs Initiative.
The board is scheduled to select an architect/engineer for the planned Science Initiative Phase 1 facility, to consist of the Center for Advanced Scientific Imaging, the Center for Integrative Biology Research, active-learning classrooms, an animal care facility and a plant growth facility.
