Wyoming Union Parking Lot to Close for Summer

The University of Wyoming Union parking lot will be closed to all vehicles, including the UWYO Roundup buses, beginning Monday, May 18.

The UWYO Roundup bus system will be rerouted, and Willett Drive will be one way from the McWhinnie/Wyoming Hall parking lot to 15th Street.

The rehabilitation project is scheduled to be completed by Friday, Aug. 28, before fall semester classes begin.

Parking Advisory

“A” (Faculty/Staff), “R” (Resident) and “M” (Motorcycle) permit parking will be available across 15th Street in Fraternity and Sorority Row throughout the closure. The pay-by-the-hour Day Lot also will be closed for the summer, beginning May 18. The Day Lot is anticipated to reopen during late summer, in its original location east of Half Acre.

Temporary metered parking close to the Wyoming Union is available on 13th Street between Coe Library and Knight Hall. Day permits are available at the Parking Office (462 N. 10th St.) or at the Wyoming Union information desk. Individuals requiring close-in disability parking during the closure should contact Transit and Parking Services at (307) 766-9800 for more information.

Transit Advisory

The East Union bus stop will close May 18. All bus traffic will be diverted to the bus shelter south of McWhinnie Hall throughout the summer. The Union Express, South Express, Campus Commuter and Gem City Grand all will use the McWhinnie bus shelter.
