Wyoming State Historical Society Honors UW Podcast

The University of Wyoming’s “Today” podcast recently placed first in the Wyoming State Historical Society’s annual contest.

Written and produced by former UW Institutional Communications Specialist Jim Kearns, “The University of Wyoming Today” weekly program featured a wide-range of topics centered on UW faculty and staff, including programs with UW and state historical content. The podcast placed first in the audio/video documentary’s professional audio category.

Kearns recently retired last May after a 37-year career at UW.

The Wyoming State Historical Society annually recognizes individuals and organizations who have contributed to Wyoming’s rich legacy. The latest awards were recently presented at the society’s annual meeting in Buffalo earlier this fall.

Awards were produced by adults, school students and organizations, which resulted in publications, oral histories, reference works, tours and exhibitions.
