These are among the activities scheduled June 12-18 at the University of Wyoming:
Tuesday, June 13, 7 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “This Month’s Sky.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204.
Wednesday, June 14, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- The Lonesome Heroes, a “cosmic Americana” band, will perform for the UW Summer Programs concert series on Simpson Plaza. Free.
Wednesday, June 14, 5:30 p.m. -- UW Centennial Fellows students will present their research projects during the “What in the World?” program at the Albany County Public Library Centennial branch. Free.
Thursday, June 15-Saturday, June 17, 7:30 p.m. -- The UW Department of Theatre and Dance presents “The Fantasticks” in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts Thrust Theatre. Tickets cost $10 for the public and $7 for students, senior citizens and children age 5 and older. Friday, June 16, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Throughout History: Eclipse 2017.” A free STAR Observatory tour (weather dependent) follows at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204.
Sunday, June 18, 7:30 p.m. -- A UW faculty brass recital will take place in the Performing Arts concert hall. Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased by calling (307) 766-6666, going online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts, or by visiting the Performing Arts box office.
A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.
Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
