With the end of the semester approaching, the University of Wyoming Half Acre Recreation and Wellness Center is doing its part to help students with a variety of healthy stress management events the next two weeks.
Stress management activities are scheduled daily from Dec. 10-20. For a complete list of activities, click here.
“Stress can be a positive thing and can help us be productive and academically successful, but too much stress also can make life difficult,” says Lena Newlin, Half Acre Recreation and Wellness Center assistant director. “The Wellness Center is happy to partner with Coe Library to offer a variety of stress management and wellness promotion programs for students over the next couple of weeks.”
Free programs to help relieve stress as the semester winds down will be offered at the Wellness Center and Coe Library. Group fitness classes also are offered at Half Acre. For additional fitness opportunities, visit www.uwyo.edu/rec/group-fitness/.
UW students are encouraged to use the Wellness Center’s free massage chairs. Appointments are required by calling 766-9355 or stopping in the center’s office.
For more information, visit the Wellness Center website at www.uwyo.edu/wellness.
