The Impact of Partnerships

Some of the biggest impacts across the University of Wyoming campus have come from the support of and partnership with corporations. Corporations connect with UW and give because they want to be good corporate citizens in their communities. They also seek a return on investment—that is, measurable outcomes that confirm they’ve made smart philanthropic decisions. The Office of Industry and Strategic Partnerships strives to create meaningful connections that are mutually beneficial.

New Process Control Lab Gives UW Engineering Students Access to Industry-Leading Technologies

The new laboratory in the University of Wyoming’s Engineering Education and Research Building provides UW students hands-on experience with a broad range of industry-leading technologies.

The process control lab, which opened in late 2021, is a partnership between the UW College of Engineering and Applied Science’s Department of Chemical Engineering and Genesis Alkali, which operates the world’s largest natural soda ash mine and production site near Green River.

Harmony One Founder Joining UW Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation Advisory Board

Stephen Tse, founder and CEO of Harmony One, a fast and open blockchain for decentralized applications, is the latest global industry leader to be appointed to serve on the University of Wyoming Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation (CBDI) Advisory Board.

Tse will join other advisory board members at the board’s first meeting in January, says Steven Lupien, UW CBDI director.
