The Intermountain Student Outdoor Leadership Seminar (ISOLS) is a distinct opportunity for like minded students with a passion for the outdoors. ISOLS 2017 is sure to provide meaningful experiences for participants in the intermountain region. Through discussions, clinics, and workshops participants will gain valuable insight in outdoor leadership, practice new technical skills, and experience diverse forms of networking. Any student with a passion for the outdoors is encouraged to join us!

Registration is $40 for the entire conference. Registration will remain open until the start of the conference and each participant will be able to sign-up for seminars and clinics prior to the start of the conference. Register now!

  1. Can the UW Outdoor Program provide gear for the clinics? Yes! For those leading a clinic, you will be required to provide a detailed gear list for your clinic when submitting your proposal. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own gear to participate in the clinics. However, the Outdoor Program will have gear available to rent free of charge.   1. What type of weather should I prepare for? At 7,220 ft, the weather during March/April in Laramie, WY can range from sunny and spring-like to arctic blizzard. Checking the local weather before you begin your travel to Laramie is the best way to stay up-to-date by checking WYDOT. Check out our Regional Information page for details on the area.

  1. Is there camping in the area? Unfortunately, the local campsites will be closed due to weather. See the Lodging and Travel page for more information on local accommodations.

  1. What is the cost? The price to attend the conference is $40. This includes admission to ISOLS from Thursday to Saturday, all transportation for clinics, admission to keynote speaker and all social events, admission to bouldering competition, raffle tickets, a swag bag, and weekend passes for the University of Wyoming Half Acre Gym and Wellness Center.   1. How will I know what clinics I am taking? You design your own conference experience! Everyone who registers for the conference will gain access to the full list of seminars and clinics once they are determined. Each participant will be required to sign-up for the clinics they would like to join for the designated time slot before the start of the conference.

*Note: Due to weather, each outdoor clinic will offer

an alternative indoor clinic. The number of participants

for each clinic will be limited accordingly.*
