Please see our new WY Transfer Commitment for resident transfer students which will become available to eligible students beginning fall 2023.
The University of Wyoming wants transfer students from the Cowboy State to know that finalizing their four-year degree is within reach. We are proud to offer the Cowboy Transfer Commitment, a financial pledge that benefits incoming resident students who transfer to the University of Wyoming from one of the seven Wyoming community colleges.
Please note: All University of Wyoming financial awards are only available to eligible admits. The awards are subject to available funding and the approval of the UW Board of Trustees; they reserve the right to change said rates at any time.
Must be a current Wyoming resident with 75 transferring credits or less.
GPA is calculated using grades earned in credits taken at all previous institutions. Cannot be combined with the Western Undergraduate Exchange.

Spring admitted students selected to receive the Cowboy Transfer Commitment must confirm their enrollment at UW by January 5, 2023, 11:59 p.m. MDT.
The Cowboy Transfer Commitment is only available to first-time, entering resident transfer students seeking their first bachelor's degree who have earned an associate's degree and have a minimum of a 3.0 transfer GPA.
It is renewable for up to 4 semesters (2 academic years) or up to the first bachelor's degree whichever comes first.
Students must maintain full-time continuous enrollment (12 semester hours) during the fall and spring semesters each year but are not available for use during the summer semester.
Students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative UW GPA (evaluated at the end of each Spring semester).
