Students complete six courses and a 6 credit hour supervised internship for the endorsement. Each student must achieve proficiency on six common assessment associated with courses and the internship. B-8 students must complete a six hour internship in a pre-K setting along with required course work. In addition, undergraduate students must complete the 15 hour residency/student teaching in a primary grade (K-3) setting. Learn more >

The graduate ESL certificate at UW is a 15-credit at-a-distance/on campus program that allows you to earn an ESL certificate, whether you are a preservice or in-service teacher—or in another field where ESL skills might prove useful such as speech pathology. Learn more >
The 18 credit hour UW Literacy Endorsement certificate program is for Wyoming teachers and recent College of Education graduates who wish to gain the reading endorsement from the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB). Students enrolled in the literacy program will select one of three options for endorsement, K-6 level, 7-12 level and K-12 level. Learn more >
The College of Education provides two options for individuals with previously earned bachelor’s degree to earn a teaching certification. The teaching elementary school option prepares individuals to qualify for a Wyoming teaching certificate in grades K-6 while the teaching secondary content prepares individuals to teach in the middle and high school grades (6-12). Twelve hours of graduate-level coursework in either option can be applied to a subsequent UW master’s degree. Learn more >
