Early Childhood Education

School of Teacher Education

The University of Wyoming College of Education offers three certification/endorsement programs in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education.

Early Childhood Birth-Five Endorsement

An initial certification program for those majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences/Child Development option or other related fields. This program prepares candidates to teach children, birth to five, in early childhood care and education settings. Learn more.

Early Childhood Birth-Eight Endorsement

This endorsement program is for elementary education majors who have completed required courses and, student teaching in the primary grades (K-3), and an internship/apprenticeship in a birth to five setting. Learn more.

Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement

A post-graduate, initial certification/endorsement program that prepares candidates to work with young children with special needs in Developmental Preschool Centers and other early childhood B-5 settings that include young children with special needs. Learn more.
