Permit Classifications & Fees 

Permit Type


Annual Fee

"A" Faculty/Staff

Available to UW employees and affiliated agencies. Permit is not available to students.


"R" Residential Student

Available to students living in the residence halls or Chapter housing.
(Awarded at random from lottery entrants).


"P" Park n' Ride

Available to students living on campus who choose not to purchase an "R" permit. FREE parking lots near 30th & Willett. Shuttle service between "P" lots and residence halls is available daily while school is in session.


"C" Commuting Student

Available to students living off campus or in campus apartments.


"D" Permanent Disability

Available to individuals with a permanent disability. (Holders of “D” and “TD” permits may park in any “A”, “C”, “R”, or “Accessible ”accessible symbol parking space when used in conjunction with a state/city disability placard or license plate.) Applicants must provide a copy of this placard to TPS.

"M" Motorcycle

Available to employees or students riding plated motorcycles or mopeds. All other vehicles are considered automobiles. FREE with purchase of an “A”, “C”, “R” or “D” permit.
