About University Testing Center

The Computer-Based Testing Center at the University of Wyoming provides graduate admissions testing and administers professional exams.

Currently, the Testing Center offers ETS CBT tests like the GRE, TOEFL, ASE and Praxis tests during any of our business hours (generally open M-F, 9:00am-4:30pm, closed on holidays). Please note that GRE Subject Specific tests are administered as Paper and Pencil tests only.  Please note, most of the numerous Praxis II exams are offered in windows of time, usually several weeks at a time followed by a week or two pause and then followed with another testing window the following month. Some testing windows for particular tests are smaller than others.  Please plan ahead. Please check the Praxis website to see the particular testing windows for your exam. A few Praxis exams will not be readily available to take due to limited demand. If you find a test that you want to take and cannot sign up to take it here, please contact us so we can try to schedule a special testing date for you. 

University Testing Center is also a Pearson VUE select site. We offer their complete line of certification tests and also Wyoming Insurance and Inspector exams. GMAT testing is also available through Pearson Vue. You can register at mba.com. FE exams are also now offered 12 months of the year. You can register at www.ncees.org. Please go to www.vue.com to register for any other Pearson VUE tests that you want to take. 

Some national tests are still in a paper-and-pencil format and they are administered on national test days; candidates must meet registration deadlines for national tests. Visit our Professional Exams page to see a list of some of the paper and pencil tests we administer along with test dates and registration deadlines. Any tests under Professional Exams not marked as paper and pencil are administered as computer-based tests. For ACT and SAT testing, please contact Laramie High School.
