Campus Sustainability Day will be celebrated with a webcast from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the University of Wyoming's Washakie Center East Rendezvous Room. The presentation is free and open to the public.
The webcast, "Sustainability Strategies for Vibrant Campus Communities" will feature sustainability initiatives and programs that colleges and universities around the country are developing under the constraints of budget cuts, says Tara Nelson, a member of UW's Campus Sustainability Committee.
The Campus Sustainability Committee serves in an advisory capacity to all campus departments, colleges and other entities in an effort to advance environmental sustainability at UW. For more information, see http://uwyo.edu/sustainability/.
The webcast is provided by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, National Wildlife Federation Campus Ecology, The New York Times Knowledge Network, Higher Education Associations Sustainability Consortium, American Association of State Colleges and Universities and the Society for College and University Planning.
