UW Offers Web Site Usability Class in Casper

October 27, 2009

The University of Wyoming-sponsored WyomingEntrepreneur.Biz and the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce will offer a Web site usability and critique class Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 1-3 p.m. in Casper.

The class will take place in the SBDC Conference Room of Bank of the West, located at 300 S. Wolcott, Suite 300. The registration fee is $25, and must be paid by Tuesday, Nov. 3. Registration forms can be requested by calling WyomingEntreprenuer.biz at (307) 234-6683, or by visiting the Web site www.wyomingentrepreneur.biz and clicking on "Local Classes."

"This class will help maximize your Web site potential by converting visitors into customers," says Cindy Unger of the Wyoming Small Business Development Center. "We will help you understand your site from the consumer's point of view, and teach you about the most important aspects of Web site usability, including logical navigation, design ideas, layout and more."

Anthony Marcil and Summer Henderson of Waves Web Design will teach the class. Marcil has developed Web sites for nine years, and Henderson has built Web sites for six years. They co-founded Waves Web Design in 2002, with some of their latest projects including Carbon County Higher Education Center and Rocky Mountain Family Medicine.

"Marcil and Henderson build professional Web sites that are practical both for the client and the user," says Unger.
