Emily Damby and Tony Parilla work with Habitat for Humanity on a house in Eagle Butte, S.D., on the Cheyenne Indian Reservation during last year's UW Alternative Spring Break.

Registrations are now being accepted for the University of Wyoming Alternative Spring Break 2010. Students can work on social, cultural and environmental issues both nationally and internationally.

This year's locations include Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, San Francisco, Calif., Florida, and the Grand Canyon.

"Alternative Spring Break is a unique way to spend your spring break," says Scott Headrick, ASB Coordinator. "We spend spring break addressing issues ranging from homelessness and social issues to environmental preservation."

To sign up or for more information, visit the Center for Volunteer Service in the Wyoming Union, call the CVS at (307) 766-3117, e-mail asb@uwyo.edu or visit the program's Web site at www.uwyo.edu/uwvolunteers.
