UW Trustees Approve Personnel Items

University of Wyoming trustees on Friday approved the following personnel items:

Faculty Appointments:

College of Agriculture

Kristiana Hansen as assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics. Hansen received a B.A. (1988) in economics from Reed College, an M.S. (2003) and a Ph.D. (2008) in agricultural and resource economics from the University of California, Davis.

Urszula Norton as assistant professor in the Department of Plant Sciences. Norton received a B.S. (1988) and an M.S. (1990) in horticulture from Warsaw Agricultural University and a Ph.D. (2000) in forestry from the University of Montana.

College of Arts and Sciences

Tyrrell McAllister as assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics. McAllister received a B.A. (2001) and a Ph.D. (2006) in mathematics from the University of California, Davis.

Adrian Feiguin as assistant professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Feiguin received an M.S. (1994) and a Ph.D. (2000) in physics from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina).

College of Business

Joseph Cooper as assistant professor in the Department of Management and Marketing. Cooper received a B.S. (1997) in civil engineering and an M.B.A. (2003) from Case Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. (2009) in philosophy from Ohio State University.

College of Education

Jenna Shim as instructor in the Department of Educational Studies. Shim received a B.A. in piano performance from California State University at Los Angeles, an M.S. (2006) in reading and a Ph.D. (2009) in reading from the State University of New York, Albany.

College of Engineering and Applied Science

Stephen Boyles as assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering. Boyles received a B.S. (2004) in civil engineering from the University of Washington, an M.S. (2006) in engineering and a Ph.D. (2009) in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin.

Gang Tan as assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering. Tan received a B.S. (1998) in thermal engineering and an M.S. (2001) in building science from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and a Ph.D. (2005) in building technology from M.I.T., Cambridge.

Beatrice Roget as assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Roget received an M.S. (2001) and a Ph.D. (2004) in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland.

Yuan Zheng as assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Zheng received a B.S. (1992) in thermal mechanical engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University and an M.S. (1999) and a Ph.D. (2003) in mechanical engineering from Purdue University.

Diane Noton as clinical assistant professor in the Family Practice Residency Program in Cheyenne.

Shawna Potter as assistant extension educator in the Cooperative Extension Service. Potter received a B.S. (2006) in agricultural education and an M.A. (2008) in agricultural sciences from Colorado State University.

Jessica Kern as assistant research scientist in the Department of Animal Science. Kern received a B.S. (2001) in animal and veterinary sciences from the University of Wyoming.

Amy McLean as assistant lecturer in the Department of Animal Science. McLean received a B.S. (2001) in animal science and an M.S. (2003) in dairy science reproduction physiology from the University of Georgia, Athens.
