November 19, 2010

These are among the construction activities scheduled Nov. 21-27 at the University of Wyoming:

Campus Power Outage -- Sunday, Nov. 21, from 6 a.m.- 4 p.m., there will be a power outage on campus between 15th and 9th Streets. All buildings on west campus - this includes all of the buildings around Prexy's Pasture, Coe Library, Old Main, all of the buildings along 9th Street, Ross and Knight Halls and others, will be without power from about 6:30-7:30 a.m. while electric feeds are re-routed. Power will then be restored to most buildings while work continues on the project.
Toward the end of the day, another one-hour outage to all west campus buildings will be required to re-route the electric feeds. This work is necessary to relocate two electrical transformers as part of the Berry Center project. Building contacts have been notified, backup generators arranged for critical loads, and arrangements made as needed for special situations. Please avoid the work area around the Berry Center project so the work can proceed smoothly and quickly, and use west campus buildings on Sunday only if absolutely necessary.
