McNair Scholars Program Funded Summer 2011 Research Internship

The University of Wyoming McNair Scholars Program is offering a funded summer 2011 research internship.

Eligibility criteria include first-generation and limited income undergraduates or Native American, African American, Hispanic or Native Pacific Islander undergraduates. The candidate needs to possess a strong desire to earn a Ph.D. minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and has earned between 48-90 credit hours.

The McNair Scholars Program is a federal TRIO program funded at 194 institutions across the United States and Puerto Rico by the U.S. Department of Education. It is designed to prepare undergraduate students for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities.

The program's goal is to increase graduate degree awards for students from underrepresented segments of society. This program is a project of Student Educational Opportunity, a unit of the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Wyoming.
