Brendan Webb of Honolulu, Hawaii, a sophomore finance major, was this year's top individual scorer at the University of Wyoming's recent Student Geography Bowl.

The winning team members, the Nihilists, were all geography graduate students including Mac Blewer of Laramie, Nadia Kaliszewski of Jackson Hole, Crystal Cooling of Omaha, Neb. and Cody Jennings of Tulsa, Okla.

Second place went to the team, Suzette is #1, including the top individual scorer, Webb, Patrick Pajak, a journalism senior, of Laramie, Cassie Grotheer, a psychology senior, of Elizabeth, Colo. and Isaac Whealdon, an economics sophomore, of Seattle, Wash.

The Geography Bowl was one of many events held during Geography Awareness at UW. Questions at the bowl encompassed the entire field of geography -- maps, countries, climate, history, sports, cultural issues, language, biology and a few of the typical questions about state capitals and gross national products.

The winners won various prizes relating to the theme of this year's Geography Awareness Week which was "freshwater." Cans of tuna, bubbles, Swedish Fish, atlases and gift certificates were given as prizes.
