Chinese New Year will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 29, with a variety of entertaining acts at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Tickets are not required.
New Year is the most important annual event for the Chinese people who traditionally celebrate for several days. Traditions include parades, firecrackers and wearing the color red to ward off evil spirits.
The Chinese Students and Scholars Association sponsors the event.
