UW Professors Spider Silk Research in NOVA Series Premiere

Spider silk research by a University of Wyoming professor is featured in a four-part NOVA series that begins this week.

The laboratory of Randy Lewis in the Department of Molecular Biology is one of the research facilities featured in the first installment of "Making Stuff," which premieres Wednesday, Jan. 19, on PBS.

The weekly series examines scientific innovations that could create a new generation of materials. The series installments are "Making Stuff: Stronger, Smaller, Cleaner and Smarter."
