Students Receive UW Alumni Association Scholarships

The University of Wyoming Alumni Association recently awarded scholarships to Wyoming high school graduates. Recipients are selected annually from five districts within the state and will receive $1,500 per year for four years.

In-state recipients are:

Casper -- Jim Shellenberger.

Cheyenne -- Chloe Frederick and Madelyn Lybeck.

Cody -- Brianne Brasher.

Douglas -- Caitlyn Blain.

LaBarge -- Emilee Simms.

Laramie -- Christian Rundberg.

Lusk -- Danielle Dooper.

Rock Springs -- Randi Sedey.

Sheridan -- Joshua Bailey.

Worland -- Sabrina Burnetta.

Out-of-state scholarship recipients with at least one UW alumni parent include:

Dewey, Ariz. -- Britton Hammit.

Georgetown, Texas -- Alexander Carter.

Steamboat Springs, Colo. -- Linnea Dixson.

Elizabeth Smith of Burien, Wash., received the UWAA scholarship for grandchildren of alumni.

Other awards are:

Basin -- Benjamin Anson, Shaw Family Scholarship.

Cheyenne -- Jera Schlottauer, Graduate Student Scholarship.

Glendo -- Leo Perez, Bank of the West Scholarship for freshmen.

Kemmerer -- Tim Hunzie, Bank of the West Scholarship for freshmen.

Laramie -- Travis Wilkinson, UW Junior/Senior Scholarship.

Lusk -- Taylor Kinchen, Bank of the West Scholarship for freshmen.

Meriden -- Duell Petsch, Platte Valley Bank Scholarship.

Rock Springs -- Megann Legerski, Community College Transfer Student Scholarship.

Saratoga -- Ransom Gates, Mary Lou Rechard Memorial Scholarship.

Sundance -- Taylor Garman, Bank of the West Scholarship for sophomores.
