The University of Wyoming Energy Resources Council will hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 28, to discuss and potentially take action on two issues associated with the Wyoming Carbon Underground Storage Project (WY-CUSP).
The council will consider authorization to proceed with the Class I well permit filing and authorization to expend a portion of the $45 million Abandoned Mine Land appropriation to complete the well, suitable for injection.
The meeting, open to the public and media, will be held telephonically at the UW School of Energy Resources' Carbon Management Institute, 2020 Grand Ave., 5th Floor, in Laramie.
