The Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association is seeking at least 50 volunteers to serve as jurors for an annual Voir Dire Competition (jury selection competition) for students attending the University of Wyoming College of Law.
The event is scheduled Saturday, Sept. 17, in Room 170 of the UW College of Law building. Volunteers can commit from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., from 8 a.m.-noon or from 12:30-5 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served to all participants, and a reception is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Altitude Chophouse, 320 S. Second St.
"The competition provides a great opportunity to learn about the civil and criminal justice system and experience what it is like to serve on a jury," says Marcia Shanor, Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association executive director.
