The deadline to apply for service-learning mini-grants is Friday, Dec. 2, at 5 p.m.

The University of Wyoming's Service, Leadership, and Community Engagement (SLCE) Office offers grants of between $250-$750 to fund new service-learning projects or to improve established projects in existing courses.

"These grants are to encourage opportunities for active student experiences that enhance classroom learning by addressing community needs," says Maggie Moran, Wyoming Union project coordinator.

All projects should be completed by the end of the fall 2012 semester.

The requests for proposal can be found on the SLCE website at www.uwyo.edu/slce. Contact Moran for more information at 766-3117 or mmoran5@uwyo.edu.
