The University of Wyoming hockey club suffered a pair of 3-2 losses to the University of New Mexico last weekend in American Collegiate Hockey Association action.
In Friday's setback against the Lobos, Billy Ross (Boulder, Colo.) scored both of the Cowboys' goals. Sam Dielwart (Calgary, Alberta), Jim Fried (Kirkwood, Mo.), Ian Gonnella (Jackson) and T.J. Peters (Jackson) each had assists.
On Saturday, Dielwart and Dan Lang (Casper) netted goals for UW. Gonnella and Peters recorded assists.
UW (2-6) plays a home-and-home series this weekend against Colorado School of Mines. Games are scheduled for 10 p.m. Friday in Littleton, Colo., and 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Laramie Community Ice and Event Center.
