Commercial Pesticide Applicator Short Course at UW

College credit, information on how to use pesticides and pesticide certification can be acquired at the commercial pesticide applicator short course at the University of Wyoming.

The course is Tuesday, Dec. 13, through Friday, Dec. 16, in Room 1030 of the College of Agriculture building. Enrollment is limited to 70 students.

Topics include pesticide toxicity, insects in field crops, control of weeds in aquatic sites and more. A tentative agenda and registration form are at www.uwyo.edu/plantsciences/wyopest/wyoprog.htm .

There is a $110 course registration fee and a $30 manual fee. The $110 fee includes one hour of UW undergraduate college credit in PLNT 1150, plant safety and application, following a general examination.
