UW Berry Center Gate Access Details

January 30, 2012

Applications are being accepted for access cards to drive through a new vehicle gate that has been installed at the alley entrance near the Berry Center off Lewis Street midway between Ninth and 10th streets.

Please note that applications electronically submitted before Jan. 4 need to be resent because of a problem with the email address on the web page.

The gate will be operational soon and campus employees will be notified when this occurs. Authorized vehicles will need either a gate specific card or WyoOne ID card with the necessary permissions to open the gate.

Gate access and cards will be administered through the WyoOne ID Office. UW departments -- with service or delivery vehicles -- as well as individuals with valid reasons to enter the gate outside of regular hours must request access on an annual basis.

Application forms and a map are available at www.uwyo.edu/berrygate and should be completed and submitted electronically. Gate applicants should receive email notification of the decision within five business days.

The gate will be open from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. on UW business days to allow authorized vehicles access to the interior part of campus. The gate will be closed from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. and will also be closed on weekends and holidays. Access will be restricted to emergency vehicles, UW service vehicles, a limited number of authorized delivery vehicles and other authorized vehicles with approved access cards.

For more information, call (307) 766-5267 or email the WyoOne ID Office at idoffice@uwyo.edu.
