Day of Mindfulness March 3 at UW

February 29, 2012

A day of mindful practices that include sitting, walking, eating and meditation will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the University of Wyoming Union East Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.

"Bring a cushion to sit on, a mug for tea or coffee, a lunch, and learn how to find moments of peace and clarity while surrounded by the sometimes chaotic world around you," says Samuel Singer, a member of Community Mediation Group (CMG), a recognized student organization at UW.

The event is sponsored by the CMG, a non-denominational meditation collective of people who are interested in taking mental rest. It provides a quiet space on the UW campus for meditation practice each week.

For more information, contact Singer at swasserm@uwyo.edu or (307) 413-4779.
