Fort Collins-based musical group SHEL will perform Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union Ballroom. Admission is free.

Folk-pop sisters Sarah, Hannah, Eva and Liza make up this quartet of classically trained musicians. They perform a variety of instruments including violin, bass, piano, mandolin, cello and drums, and bring a sophisticated yet youthful style of music that is both eccentric and entertaining.

The group has performed at numerous music festivals, including South by Southwest, International Folk Alliance, Lilith Fair and Blissfest, and has demonstrated its musical talents at a variety of venues.

"SHEL has delivered one of the most impressive debuts of the year," says Chris Douridas of KCRW Los Angeles. "They're powered by the effervescent and are radio ready."

SHEL has offered a free download of its song "Ruby Slippers" to anyone who "likes" the group's Facebook page.
