Pianist Jan Lisiecki to Perform at UW

Award-winning Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the University of Wyoming Fine Arts concert hall, (Cultural Programs)

Award-winning Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the University of Wyoming Fine Arts concert hall.

Only 16 years old, Lisiecki has shared the stage with Yo-Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax and Pinchas Zukerman. He has performed with the BBC Symphony, the Leipzig Radio Symphony, the Orchestre de Paris and the Montreal symphonies.

Featured on CBC Canada; BBC; French, German, Austrian, Luxembourg and Polish radio; and French television, Lisiecki also has won seven international competitions and recently released a CD of Chopin works.

He is studying for a bachelor of music degree at the Glenn Gould School of Music in Toronto on a full scholarship.
