"Metal Inkorporated" is the inaugural exhibition scheduled in the University of Wyoming's new Visual Arts Building gallery, located at the corner of Willett Drive and 22nd Street. The exhibition runs March 1-31, with a reception scheduled Friday, March 23, from 6-8 p.m., at the gallery.

The UW Department of Art will host the exhibition. Leah Hardy, metalsmithing professor and show curator, paired 30 artists -- based on similar aesthetics -- from around the country. Each artist was given a few months to produce his half of the work before mailing it to his partner.

"The process creates an informal dialogue between the two artists, initiating a fresh new approach to materials," Hardy says.
