As a result of the new Vehicle Regulation and Policy, the University of Wyoming's Risk Management and Insurance office is required to check motor vehicle records for all employees, students and volunteers before they will be allowed to drive for university business. This applies to all driving, whether doing so in a personal, rental or UW vehicle.
An improved electronic request format is available for people to request the records. Individuals who know they will drive on UW business during 2012 need to make those requests as soon as possible and at least two business days before they need to drive. In future years, individuals will then need to make the request by Dec. 1, in order to be authorized to drive in the following calendar year.
The link to make the electronic request can be found here. Once an individual has submitted a request, that person may use this link to check his or her driving status.
