New Resource to Secure Funding from Private Foundations

August 6, 2012

Before things get busier with the start of a new semester, the University of Wyoming Foundation reminds faculty and staff of the Foundation Resource Center, a new resource that helps secure funding for projects or programs from private foundations.

The center’s goal is to increase opportunities for successfully securing private funding that enhances the university's colleges, departments and units.

The process for exploring potential private funding opportunities is relatively easy. Contact the center, answer a series of questions that outline the project objectives and funding needs; share the idea with a college dean or program director; and submit for review.

Staff members will respond within two weeks to discuss the potential private funding sources. Write the first draft of a proposal and, once it is polished with the assistance of FRC staff, it will be submitted.
