The Paul Benjaman Band will perform a free concert from 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, on the University of Wyoming Simpson Plaza.

Often described as “The New Tulsa Sound,” the band credits its widespread influences to 70s rockers J.J. Cale and Leon Russell. In addition to these musical influences, the band incorporates different styles of American music.

The Paul Benjaman Band has performed in all areas of the United States and has been featured at major music festivals such as the Oklahoma Greenfest, Diversafest and the Bluebird Music and Arts Festival.
