These are among the construction activities scheduled Oct. 21-27 at the University of Wyoming.

Parking Lot Closure -- The parking lot east of 10th and Lewis streets will be closed beginning Monday, Oct. 22. Workers will clear the area to prepare for the start of the construction of the Michael B. Enzi STEM Facility.

New Home -- The Honors Program has moved into the new Honors Center at 10th and Ivinson streets. The classroom is open for classes, and landscaping is complete.

The UW Facilities Planning Office reports the following activities for the week:

Ivinson Parking Lot -- The Ivinson monument masonry work is complete. A concrete ramp and monument pad will be poured this week. Commemoration plaques will be installed the first part of November. All four metered spaces and motorcycle parking are blocked off for contractor staging. Work may require the Ivinson sidewalk to be closed at times, so pedestrians will need to go around the area. All of the Ivinson parking lot is now open, adding 67 new parking spaces including ADA (Americans with Disability Act) spaces and four metered spaces. Access is from both 10th and 11th streets. Landscaping is complete.

UW Office Annex (21st Street and Garfield, scheduled completion Nov. 15) -- The project involves partial renovation of the lower level of the west wing for improvements to offices and other adjacent multi-use spaces. Mechanical and electrical installations are complete. Ongoing work includes building systems controls, sheetrock, texturing and painting. The main corridors in the lower level will have limited access, due to construction activity, starting Oct. 2. All exiting doors will remain operable.

ESCo Project (Energy Services Company) -- Long Energy Services Co. employees will be working in Engineering, AG, Centennial Complex and Education sites this week. This will have minimal impact on building occupants. Workers will wear identification badges.

University of Wyoming/Casper College Student Union (UW/CC Student Union, scheduled completion November 2013) -- Exterior structural framework is completed and roof membrane is installed. The building will be closed in for remainder of the interior construction activities. Framing of interior partitions in UW third- and fourth-floor spaces has begun.

White Hall Renovations -- Demolition will be complete on all floors this week. New installations continue on the ninth through 12th floors. Excavation for a new transformer vault on the east side of White Hall is scheduled to begin this week. Fencing is placed around the area. The west parking lot will be closed until summer 2013.

Energy Innovation Center (formerly ERC, at 1020 Lewis St., scheduled completion October 2012) -- Access to main campus will be between or through Earth Sciences and the Berry Center. Lewis Street will remain closed during construction. Parking will be limited in areas around construction, including the drive along the west side of Engineering. The access from main campus, along the west side of Engineering to Lewis Street, will be closed during this phase of construction. The west end of the ramp, behind the Engineering Building, will be closed. Handicapped parking has been relocated to the northwest corner of Lewis and 10th streets, with access through the Berry Center or Earth Sciences Building to main campus.

Interior finishes continue throughout the building. Door and hardware installation is under way. Installation of lab equipment and casework is nearing completion on the first and second floors, with floor finish to be completed. Work continues on the south retaining walls to prepare for landscaping. Landscape work is finishing on the north side. Interior painting is nearing completion, with floor finishes progressing throughout the corridors.

Honors Center (10th and Ivinson streets) -- This project is complete. The classroom is open for classes, and the Honors Program has moved into the remainder of the house. Landscaping is complete.

Museum Closed -- The UW Geological Museum is closed for renovation and is scheduled to reopen later this semester.

Counselor Education Training Clinic (Education Building, scheduled completion Nov. 19) -- Renovation construction work continues in the northeast portion of the Education Building basement. Limited access for students, faculty and staff via the northeast building entry has reopened. Construction activities and staging will continue, requiring appropriate caution in the area. Construction staging will continue to occupy a portion of the pedestrian walkway and accessible parking area northeast of the Education Building. Temporary substitute accessible parking has been designated with temporary signage.

The UW Physical Plant reports the following activities for the week. Please direct questions to the service desk, 766-6225.

Knight Hall -- Repairs have begun on the ceilings where lighting upgrades were recently installed. Crews have started patching and painting on the third floor and will continue to work throughout the building. Please use caution near equipment and materials.

Earth Science Building and Coe Library -- Cell site upgrades began Oct. 11. Work areas will be isolated to the roof and mechanical penthouses. The contractor anticipates drilling and coring activities during off hours or early morning.

Engineering Building -- Water from fire pump testing will be diverted to Lewis Street. Please use caution in areas of running or pooled water.

Jacoby Golf Course -- Construction continues on the east campus drainage project at Jacoby Golf Course. The inlet construction should start by the end of October and will affect the play of hole #7 once construction is started. Re-seeding has been completed. Signs are posted at the affected holes and in the clubhouse. Affected holes will be off-limits during construction hours (7 a.m.-5 p.m.) for the remainder of the construction period. Please use caution in the work areas.

Education Building -- Final system work continues in the Education auditorium to integrate new projector equipment with the existing system.

Campus -- Crews are blowing out irrigation systems for the season using compressed air. Work is scheduled to continue throughout October. Overspray on sidewalks and driveways may create slippery spots. Please use caution.

Beta House -- Renovations to the first and second floors are under way. Completion of the project has been extended to late November due to mechanical and plumbing issues.

Rochelle Athletic Center -- Construction is ongoing on the hydrotherapy pool room renovation in the training room. The staging area is at the southeast corner of the building. Access to the area will be limited to authorized personnel.

Hansen Arena -- Repair of the water main and site cleanup is complete.
