SHEL performs a free concert Friday, Nov. 30, at 9 p.m. in the Wyoming Union lower level.

The all-woman band SHEL will perform a free show Friday, Nov. 30, at 9 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Union lower level.

Additionally, “Total Recall,” starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel, will be shown in the College of Education auditorium at 4, 6:30 and 9 p.m.

SHEL consists of sisters Sarah, Hannah, Eva and Liza Holbrook, a quartet of classically trained musicians. Experienced in a variety of instruments including violin, bass, piano, mandolin, cello and drums, the sisters of SHEL provide a sophisticated, yet youthful style of music that is both eccentric and entertaining.

“SHEL -- our new favorite band -- glides effortlessly atop the lilting, sublime voices of the Holbrook sisters. But SHEL's appeal goes way beyond the vocals. These gals are exceptional musicians as well,” writes Dave Herrera of Denver’s Westword.
