Meetings on Proposed UW International Programs, Outreach School Merger

November 12, 2012 — Information about a proposed merger of the University of Wyoming Outreach School with the International Programs Office will be presented Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 13-14.

The presentations are scheduled Tuesday at 4 p.m. and Wednesday at noon, both in Room 404 of Old Main. The Wednesday meeting can be accessed statewide through the Outreach Video Network.

The two units would merge into the School of Outreach and Internationalization, a combined unit under Academic Affairs. The school’s mission will be to provide educational opportunities with partners throughout the state. This merger is expected to expand student and faculty learning opportunities globally.

Anne Alexander, director of International Programs, and Maggi Murdock, associate provost for Academic Affairs and dean of the Outreach School, will lead the discussions, open to all interested persons.
