UW Shipping and Receives Schedules Holiday Times

December 10, 2012

University of Wyoming Shipping and Receiving has scheduled holiday hours to help accommodate campus shipping and receiving needs this holiday season.

There will be no outgoing or incoming shipments Dec. 24, 25, 31 or Jan. 1.

Incoming shipments will be received Wednesday, Dec. 26, through Friday, Dec. 28. However, there will be no deliveries or pickups on campus, says Vicki Jairell, Shipping and Receiving supervisor. She says all packages received during the winter break will be delivered Jan. 3-4.

Any “live” animal and perishable packages should be ordered to deliver before Dec. 20. If these packages need to be delivered between Christmas and New Year’s, call shipping and receiving to arrange a pickup at 16th and Gibbon streets.

“All outgoing packages that need to be delivered between Dec. 24 and Jan. 1 must be shipped by Dec. 20,” Jairell says. “Also, we remind everyone there will be no shipping or receiving of personal packages at any time.”

Shipping and Receiving will be open for incoming shipments and specially arranged package pickups from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. during the winter closure from Dec. 26-Dec. 28. However, there will be no campus pickups or deliveries during the closure. Individuals expecting packages during the closure should contact shipping and receiving after noon at (307) 766-2304 to arrange a pickup.

For more information, call Jairell at (307) 766-2304, ext. 5.
