January 22, 2013 — All University of Wyoming employees who receive a mobile communication device allowance are required to sign up for the text message notification system, UW Alert.
The service is designed to keep UW students, faculty and staff informed during an emergency situation. The UW Alert system provides an additional measure of safety and security for campus.
All employees are strongly encouraged to register for the service, says Mark Collins, UW interim vice president of administrative operations.
