UW Employees Have Access to Referral Program

February 18, 2013

Recognizing that life can be stressful and there are times when everyone contends with personal and financial concerns, the University of Wyoming is making its employees aware of a resource that’s available to help during those times.

An employee referral program called Employee Connect provides employees with confidential in-person, telephone and web access services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The service provides support, guidance and resources for employees and immediate family members.

Confidential assistance can be provided in areas such as addiction, anxiety, mental health, parenting and child care, elder care, family and relationships, and financial issues. In addition to telephone counseling, there can be up to three in-person sessions with a referral for additional services, if needed.

The service also provides a free 30-minute consultation with a local attorney regarding non-employment-related legal issues, and a 25 percent discount on future services provided by that attorney.

The Employee Connect program is a service of the university’s long-term disability insurance provider, Lincoln Financial, with services provided by Bensinger, DuPont and Associates. To learn more or talk to a specialist, call 1-877-757-7587.
