No Heat in Ross -- Heat will be shut off in Ross Hall Wednesday, March 6, from 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m., to allow crews to repair heat valves. Building occupants have been notified.

The UW Facilities Planning Office reports the following activities for the week:

ESCo Project (Energy Services Company) -- Long Energy Services Co. employees and contractors will work on lighting retrofits at the Centennial Complex first and fourth floors. This will have some impact on occupants. Workers will wear identifying badges.

College of Education Annex Canopy and Connection (North of Education Building and east of Education Annex; scheduled completion August 2013) -- Preconstruction tasks for the project are under way. Limited and sporadic non-construction activity at the project site may be occurring. Access to and through the project site remains unaffected.

Education Annex – Literacy Research Center and Clinic (Lower floor, Education Annex; scheduled completion January 2014) -- Preconstruction tasks for the project are under way. Limited and sporadic non-construction activity at the project site may occur prior to the start of asbestos abatement in mid-March. Closure of the lower floor of the Education Annex is anticipated at any time.

University of Wyoming/Casper College Student Union (UW/CC Student Union, scheduled completion November 2013) -- The primary building enclosure is complete, allowing interior construction activities to proceed on or ahead of schedule. Rough-in construction is 85 percent complete throughout UW/CC third- and fourth-floor spaces, and preliminary finish construction has started in limited areas. Overall project construction is approximately 68 percent complete.

Energy Innovation Center (formerly ERC, at 1020 Lewis St.) -- Lewis Street remains closed during construction. School of Energy Resources and Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute personnel now occupy the EIC. First- and second-floor labs are being prepared for researchers. Access to main campus now includes the passage between Engineering and the new EIC, along with access between or through Earth Sciences and the Berry Center. Access to the EIC north entrance will be on Lewis from the east along Lewis. Parking will be limited in areas around construction. Limited handicapped parking may be available south of the EIC and west of the Engineering Building.

Work on the third-floor lab and 3-D visualization space will be ongoing. Congestion and traffic on Lewis continues. Watch for UW and contractors’ trucks and equipment.

Enzi STEM Facility (Scheduled completion June 2015) -- Work on the site will slow down and involve removing stockpiled material.

White Hall Renovations -- New installations continue on the sixth through 12th floors. Rough-in installations continue in the basement through fifth floor. Window replacement is complete on the fifth through 12th floors, and will continue down each floor. The new east entry block walls are starting this week, weather permitting. Fencing is placed around the area. The west parking lot will be closed until summer 2013.

Performing Arts Center (Fine Arts, scheduled completion spring 2015) -- The contractor will fence off about one-fourth of the parking lot and set its trailers.

The UW Physical Plant reports the following activities for the week. Please direct questions to the service desk, 766-6225.

Snow Removal -- Physical Plant crews will remove snow as needed throughout the season. Watch for snow removal equipment, be careful and safe during snow events, and call the service desk at 766-6225 to report ice spots and problem areas.

Wildcatter Stadium Lobby -- Repairs are ongoing to the lobby ceiling. Please use caution in this area.

Sorority Row -- Crews are working to isolate and repair a leaking water line in the area north of the Tri Delta house near the street. Please be aware of moving equipment in the area.

Earth Sciences Building -- Painting operations in the hallways will continue this week. Please use caution around painting crews and equipment.

Anthropology Building -- Due to investigation and repairs of a water leak on the first floor, access to the Lewis Street entrance may be closed intermittently for short periods. Work will be ongoing on the exterior walls above the entry canopy roof. Entry demolition, insulation and reconstruction are planned for March 15-24. Please use the building’s west entrance when the Lewis Street entrance is barricaded. Exercise caution in work areas.

Geology Building -- Renovations to Classroom 216 are ongoing. Please use caution around crews and equipment in this area.

Physical Sciences Building -- Modifications to the liquid nitrogen tank on the north side of the building are ongoing. Please use caution in this area.
