Sternberg Concludes UW Campus Visit

March 27, 2013

The incoming president of the University of Wyoming on Tuesday concluded a two-day visit that included a tour of campus and meetings with university leaders and faculty and student representatives.

Robert Sternberg’s tight schedule included meetings with President Tom Buchanan, vice presidents, deans, directors and leaders of the Associated Students of UW. He also spoke to the UW Faculty Senate, laying out the values he will bring to the university and answering questions.

Currently the provost and senior vice president at Oklahoma State University, Sternberg will begin his work at UW July 1.

Sternberg says he looks forward to meeting with many more UW students and employees, including staff members, during future visits. He also plans to travel around Wyoming to meet the people of the state.
