Final UW Faculty Recital Series Concert May 5

The University of Wyoming Department of Music spring Faculty Recital Series concludes with “Brass Extravaganza,” at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5, in the Fine Arts concert hall. The program is free and open to the public.

UW trombone Lecturer Mark Soueidi will perform solo selections by Shostakovich and Bernstein. The quintet will perform an arrangement of Bach’s famous works “Toccata” and “Fugue in D minor,” and also original works by Victor Ewald and Phillip Johnson.

Members of the Snowy Range Brass Quintet are Assistant Professor Scott Meredith and graduate student Isaac Swanson, trumpets; Lecturer Jason Johnston, horn; Soueidi, trombone; and Lecturer Charlie Ortega, tuba.
