Education Annex – Literacy Research Center and Clinic (lower floor, Education Annex; scheduled completion January 2014) -- The lower (first) floor of the Education Annex is closed for construction. Construction activities have begun with establishment of construction and staging areas, and selective demolition. Access to the alleyway and related parking east and south of the Agriculture Building is closed, and a temporary access/egress detour has been established west of the Agriculture Building. The pedestrian sidewalk in the Ed Annex vicinity is closed on the south side of Lewis Street, with pedestrian access rerouted to the north side of the street at the established construction limits. Parking in the vicinity is closed on the south side of Lewis Street at the construction limits. Pre-demolition activities, including waste removal-related traffic, also may occur. Please observe all posted traffic control and construction signage.

Half Acre Gymnasium Addition and Renovation (Scheduled completion spring 2015) -- Full project information is available at www.uwyo.edu/ha-renovation. Half Acre Gymnasium remains open and accessible via the west entrance. Construction work for Phase I, consisting of the demolition and reconstruction of the east portion of the existing building, will commence in earnest this week with abatement and deconstruction work under way. Construction and staging areas north, south and east of the existing building have been established and are closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic, except that which is construction related. Temporary staging also may be defined near the west entrance as required by the ongoing construction-related tasks. The day lot parking area and roadway immediately east of Half Acre Gymnasium are closed. Temporary day-use parking will be established in the lot east of the Wyoming Union. Please use caution in the vicinity of Half Acre Gymnasium, as construction activities commence.

Biological Sciences Building Mechanical Modifications (Scheduled completion mid-August) -- The building’s mechanical system will be extensively modified over the next several months. The contractor has started the major portion of the work. Staging is established on the south side of the building (with no pedestrian access) and in part of the Ivinson Parking Area. Traffic will be rerouted along the east side of Biological Sciences. Building users are encouraged to use the northwest entrance to avoid construction activities. Asbestos abatement continues on the upper floors. New ductwork is being installed on the second and third floors. A crane will be set up in the staging area and semi-trucks will be unloading the steel during the week.

Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts (Fine Arts Building, renovation and expansion, scheduled completion December 2014) -- Additional project information is available here. The parking lot on the east side of the UW Performing Arts Center is closed. It is being used for construction staging and will be converted into a green area following construction. Building visitors should use the lot on the north side of the building. Those entering the Performing Arts Center must now enter through the doors on the west side of the building. This will be the entrance for all building operations, including classes, ticket purchases and performances, until construction is complete. The east side of the Fine Arts Building is a secured construction zone with restricted access. The deconstruction and excavation earthwork continues. Underground utility work is complete for this phase of work. Heavy truck traffic will be frequent near War Memorial Fieldhouse, 22nd Street and Willett Drive.

White Hall Renovations -- New installations continue on the basement through first floors. Punch-list items are complete on the second through 12th floors. Re-roofing activities have begun, with more truck traffic on the south side of the building. The new east entry metal framing is complete, and work is finishing up on the exterior walls and roof. Fencing is placed around the area. The west parking lot will be closed until late summer.

ESCo Project (Energy Services Company) -- Long Energy Services Co. employees and contractors will continue to work on lighting retrofits in the Engineering and Agriculture buildings, which will impact building occupants. Workers will wear identifying badges.

Wainwright/Willett Bungalows (Future parking lot) -- Abatement has begun and will continue for the next few weeks. Deconstruction will follow.

University of Wyoming/Casper College Student Union (UW/CC Student Union, scheduled completion November 2013) -- The primary building enclosure is complete, allowing interior construction activities to proceed on or ahead of schedule. Rough-in construction is generally complete throughout UW/CC third- and fourth-floor spaces, and preliminary finish construction has started. Overall project construction is approximately 80 percent complete.

Education Annex Canopy (Scheduled completion August 2013) -- Construction activities have begun on the project, including the erection of fencing and temporary barricades defining the construction and staging areas. Vehicular access and parking availability in the lot north of the Education Building will be limited throughout construction and will be subject to frequent revision as construction activities dictate. During construction, pedestrian access to the north entrance of the Education Building and the east entrance of the Education Annex will be maintained. However, ongoing construction activities will require access to be limited to designated pathways. Pedestrians and motorists should exercise caution in the area.

Enzi STEM Facility (Lewis Street between 10th and 11th streets, scheduled completion June 2015) -- Workers are waiting for the asphalt plant to fire up before patching streets.

Energy Innovation Center (formerly ERC, at 1020 Lewis St.) -- Lewis Street remains closed during construction. The School of Energy Resources and Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute are now located in the EIC. First-, second- and third-floor labs are being occupied. Access to main campus now includes the passage between Engineering and the new EIC, along with access between Earth Sciences and the Berry Center. Access to the EIC north entrance will be from the east along Lewis. Parking will be limited in areas around construction. Audio-visual systems and 3-D visualization systems are installed, with operational testing under way. Congestion and traffic on Lewis continues due to street closure and ongoing construction. Watch for UW and contractors’ trucks and equipment

Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center (22nd and Grand, scheduled completion fall 2014) -- Additional project information is available here.
